A man in a suit smiles at the camera, posing for a portrait.

Welcome to a new school year at Idalou High School!

I’m excited to welcome both returning families and those who are new to our school community.

As your principal, I’m honored to lead a dedicated team of educators and staff who are committed to ensuring every student thrives in a safe, supportive, and academically challenging environment.

At IHS, we believe in the strength of partnership between school and home. Your involvement is crucial to your child’s success, and we encourage you to stay engaged—whether it’s attending school events, joining parent organizations, or communicating regularly with teachers and staff.

This year, our focus remains on:

  • Academic Excellence

  • Student Engagement

  • Personal Growth and Leadership

  • College and Career Readiness

We offer a wide range of opportunities, from advanced coursework to athletics, fine arts, and student clubs—designed to help every student find their path and purpose.

Please know that our doors are always open. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas. We are here to support you and your student throughout the year.

Thank you for being an essential part of the Idalou ISD community. Let’s make it a great year together!

Go Cats!

Jerry Estrada
