Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC)
2023 will be my first year of teaching. I have been a part of Idalou Athletics since the fall of 2022 when I began shadowing and helping with both the boys and girls programs.
I worked as a graduate assistant for Texas Tech University for over 2.5 years with the Olympic strength and conditioning staff. During my time, I was able to assist with nearly team at the university. Outside of this, I also coached baseball for over 2 years with numerous travel organizations across Lubbock.
My wife, Abby, and I got married in July of 2023. Abby teaches Algebra II and Pre-Calculus at the high school, and she is by far the smart between the two of us. We are so excited to begin serving the students together at Idalou this school year. I officially became a father to our mini-weiner dog, Rosie, this summer.
At Idalou, I get to serve as the strength and conditioning coordinator for all of athletics, be a head coach for cross country, and be an assistant coach for baseball in the spring. I have always loved strength and conditioning, and it has been an awesome opportunity to learn the world of cross country. Outside of teaching and coaching, my wife and I love to compete with each other with board and card games, pickleball, ping pong, and every other game or sport. We also love to watch movies together and explore new places outside of Lubbock.
