Lone Finalist named for Idalou ISD Superintendent

 

At this morning’s Idalou ISD School Board meeting, Mr. Robert Gibson was introduced as the Lone Finalist for the position of superintendent at Idalou ISD.  Robert Gibson has served as Superintendent of Schools at Schleicher County Independent School District for the past five years.  Prior to being named superintendent in 2015, he was the principal at Eldorado High School from 2009-2015.

 

Mr. Gibson earned his Bachelor’s of Education degree from Angelo State University and his Masters of Education degree from Sul Ross State University. He obtained his Texas superintendent’s certification in 2012 from ESC 4 in Houston, Texas.

 

Mr. Gibson and his wife Laryn have four children, Taylor 9 (3rd grade), Taytum 7 (1st grade), Tyson 5 (pre-k), and Tory 7 months.
